Hi I’m Carrie!
I wanted to introduce myself for those that are new here. I am in my mid 30s, born and raised in Southern California and have a deep love for pugs and wine of any kind. I’ve lived in many cities around the US, including Scottsdale Arizona and Houston Texas, and currently live in Santa Monica, California.
Believe it or not, I use to be terrified of flying. I was the person crying on the plane over the smallest bump, or weird sound. For the longest time, that really limited my travel. I was simply too scared to fly!
While living in Texas, I met my boyfriend, who loves to travel and has been all over the world. In a crazy turn of events, after a few years, I ended up moving back to California to accept a new position within my company. Accepting that job was really ironic because it required me to travel a lot for work! Let’s just say.. I got really comfortable with flying and living out a suitcase.
I started this blog just before the pandemic started in 2020. My boyfriend and I love to find the travel gems of the world and we actively seek out Boutique Hotels. We also love just cool, vibey restaurants and travel experiences. I’m a sucker for a rooftop bar!
Now, having traveled both domestically & internationally, we have stayed in my fair share of truly amazing, breathtaking boutique properties. In fact, the Instagram photos don’t even do these places justice sometimes!
But with that, also comes some duds.

- Camping, not so much..
- Will take extended naps after too much wine
- Seems to cuss a lot
- Parallel parking is risky
- Patience.. what's that?
